At the dusk of the day, the fishing men's ship leaves the village, sails through the waves to start a working night. The sea, however, has immeasurable and unexpected dangers. The ship might leave, and might not return. But the men have to go. Leaving their wives, sisters, mothers, daughters and sons behind, whose hearts filled with worries and fear. But with fear, they hope, and they bless for the journey to go on safely, and they will see the ships' silhouette against the sunrise again.
It's one of my A-level final piece, done by acrylic paint on canvas
I love this painting for all the reasons everyone already stated. But I really love the description and your story behind the painting. It really gives it more emotion and connection to the piece. Awesome job!
i heard the story when i was a child and it's stuck ever since, it's quite common around the fishing villages in my country. Thank you very much for the feedback
This is a stunning piece! It takes a really good eye to paint water well. The light is the star of the show here - it lends a thoughtful mood to the people, the boat, and their world.
